The European Demolition Association, EDA, has been the demolition platform for national associations, contractors and suppliers for over 40 years. EDA has always ensured the safety of all those who are part of this great family.
For this reason and due to the current health situation, the EDA Board of Directors decided to postpone the annual convention that was to be held from 4th to 6th June 2020, in Belgrade (Serbia).
Representing the activities of demolition, decontamination and recycling, EDA is aware of the serious impact caused by the pandemic in many ways: social, economic, delays, contracts, etc.
Therefore, the association issued a statement recommending that safety should come first, to protect the health of workers and their families, following the advice of Public Administrations and health authorities to prevent the spread of the disease.
In order to comply with these instructions and ensure the safety of the attendees, EDA will hold its Annual Convention in Paris, from 15th to 16th September 2020.
The Serbian capital will host this event next year, from 10th to 12th June 2021.

In cooperation with the Institute for Standardization of Serbia, the European Commission for Standards (CEN) and the EDA, we entered as a state and national association into standardization of the areas we are dealing with, the first meeting and start of work was on October 14, the day of standardization.
In this lengthy process, we expect that the industry we are dealing with will gain the importance because it would be a platform for our further development.
We expect the assistance of a large number of state bodies, both in the work of the commission and in the implementation of standards, which we hope will adapt to the experience and tradition of the domestic industry.

The Serbian Demolition Association (SDA) and the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PKGIS) have signed an agreement on mutual cooperation.
The agreement was signed by the presidents of the two associations Dejan Bojovic (SDA) and Miroslav Brkovic (PKGIS).
Collaboration often involves joint development and research projects, as well as professional projects in the field of expert services, research, standardization, testing and characterization of all materials obtained during the creation and demolition of all buildings.
The mobility and cooperation of all participants in this field of industry, teaching and research staff, workshops, as well as participation in professional development programs are forecasted.
There are also other professional jobs in the field of the construction industry, joint appearances, or the formation of joint teams in dealings with third parties, socially-owned enterprises or private persons, or self-governing local communities.
Engaging staff and other potentials of the Chamber of Civil Engineering for some forms of practical teaching or training, which are according to EU regulations
, can be organized by the Serbian Association on the territory of Serbia within the framework of common interests.
